  1. Participated on the National Convention for Library Networking (NACLIN) at Hyderabad University, Hyderabad, India from November 06-09, 2001. Jointly organized by Developing Library Network (DELNET) Delhi and University of Hyderabad.

  2. Three month training program on “Computer-based Information Systems in Libraries and Information Centres in Thailand” from 14 January-14 March, 2001 as a winner of the IFLA/ALP scholarships and attachments award.

  3. Attended the 67th IFLA- conference in Boston, USA from August 14-25, 2001 as a US fellow

  4. Attended a 3-day training course on “Upgrading WTO Reference Centre-Bangladesh” conducted by WTO, Geneva from March 23 to March 25 held at Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute.   5. Attended the 71st IFLA Conference in Oslo, Norway from 13-25 August, 2005 as NORAD Fellow.

  6. Attended a Five day training programme on DRACO (Documentation Research and Communication) in Bexleyheath; London from August 26- 31, 2005.

  7. Attended a three months training programme on Community libraries for improving the lives of the socially disadvantaged people in Luton, UK. The training organised by Luton Borough Council UK from 11 January to 10 April 2012.

  8. Attended the 78th IFLA Conference in Helsinki, Finland from 11th August to 17th August 2012 as a speaker of the Asia and Oceania Session funded by IFLA

  9. Attended 2 days training programme on Innovative libraries for changing livelihoods of the poor people in the developing countries. The training programme was held in Paris in France from 19 June to 22 June organised by Library Professional Groups in France supported by CLLIP in UK.

  10. As a resource person of LIS education, delivered series of lectures in the last couple of years in Delhi University, Bengalore University, Alighar Muslim University, Kolkata University, Jadoppur University, Colombo University, Sri lanka and Lucknow University.

Expertise in Teaching, Research and Training: I have more than 28 years of teaching, research and training experiences as a faculty, head, assistant proctor and Dean in the two reputed Public Universities, namely University of Rajshahi and National University Bangladesh. Experts in teaching on Public Library Systems and Services, Research Methodology, Information Retrieval, Digital Libraries, Use of Information for improving Social and Human Capital, Computer-based Information Management, Information Sources and Services, Advanced Literature Search, Information Literacy, etc. I was the founder of launching new disciplines in three public universities.

Expertise as Dean: I am incredibly honoured to be awarded for the prestigious LEAP -25 International Educational Awards as Best Dean nominated by London School of Digital Business (LSDB)  https://www.lsdb.co.uk/leap/2025/category/principal-of-the-year I have worked as a Dean for 8 years in the National University Bangladesh and launched skill-based approach in college level education affiliated under National University. Expertise in Online Video Lectures:  Expertise in Online Video Lectures: During Covid19, I was the National Expert of developing and disseminating the Video Lectures among 3.5 million students. It was a project funded by the National University. Through this project, we developed 17500 videos on 31 disciplines involving 1600 teachers . In South East Asia, still there is no any record to develop this sort of huge number of online video lectures. Our Students got tremendous benefit by this project. It’s an amazing experience in my life. 

Expertise's in research, design and develop the programs managing MEAL (Monitoring, Evalustion, Accountability and Learning) Systems: Result based M&E strategy/framework development, MIS through Mix Method (qualitative and quantitative) data collection, data organization, data entry, analysis, dissemination and storage, carried out baseline, endline and impact study,  gender analysis and developing gender strategy, conflict analysis and managed high level external consultancy works.

Expertise on program design and implementation: Developing ToC, Logfram with gender sensitive indicators settings, designed program on Rohingya Refugee in Coxs Bazar through PRM Project, Socially Disadvantaged People e.g. Pavement Dwellers, Sex-workers, Vagrant people, Hizra, Chor and Hoar People and so on. Major achievement:

§  Worked as a Dean of the National University since 7 years, I had to take care of 3.5 million students in 2257 colleges throughout the country. Managed their enrolment systems, student transfer, migration, re-admission, registration, duplication, name correction etc.

§  Conducted research on ‘Ensuring higher education for the extreme poor students in the remote rural areas  through the innovative approach of blended learning’

§  Successfully finished projects funded by SSRC (Social Science Research Council, Ministry of Planning); UGC (University Grants Commission); ICT Ministry, NU (National University, Bangladesh).  

§  Completed contemporary tracer studies on the existing local job market based on the global demand and sorted out the some technical skills which are particularly required for our graduates. Accordingly provided training for making them skilled manpower and building their confidence as a global citizen.

§  As an expert of the skill-based approach, conducted research on ‘need-based market driven-skills for the graduates’. Based on existing market demand, as per my recommendations in 2022, NU already launched 12 skill-based post-graduate diploma programmes on Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Cyber Security, Capital Market Investment, Farming Technology, ICT, Language,  Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Travel Management, Security Management, Data Analytics, ICT in Accounting & Business. §  Developed a comprehensive ‘Academic and Physical Master Plan 2023-2033’ for NU which has been approved by National Expert Committee and the MoE, Bangladesh.

§  Developed Road Map of the Blended Learning for Higher Education,

§  Launched NU On-Campus Honours Program and on-Campus PGD Program

§  Changed curriculum with OBE (Objective Based Education); Organized Countrywide Job Fair; Provided training on Career Guidance, Free Lancing,

§  During Covid-19, I was the National University’s core Team leader to develop on-line video lectures.
